Lors de sa conférence annuelle, SUSECON, SUSE a annoncé la prise en charge des processeurs Intel Xeon Scalable de deuxième génération, anciennement « Cascade Lake ». Avec ces solutions exécutées sur SUSE Linux Enterprise Server sur mémoire persistante Intel Optane DC et ces processeurs Intel Xeon Scalable deuxième génération, les entreprises pourront ainsi relever les défis de l’augmentation exponentielle des masses de données avec plus d’agilité et de rapidité, tout en réduisant leurs coûts.

SUSE s’engage à permettre aux entreprises disposant de solutions open source de mettre en œuvre la meilleure transformation numérique possible et de réaliser la gestion hybride et multi-cloud des charges de travail dont elles ont besoin pour assurer une innovation, une compétitivité et une croissance continue.

La prise en charge des processeurs Intel Xeon Scalable de deuxième génération et de la mémoire persistante Intel Optane DC est incluse dans SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 et SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Service Pack 4. SUSE Delivers First Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA Large Instances on Microsoft Azure

 

Customer-driven solution featuring SAP-certified SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications offers improved customer experience, stability and reliability

SUSE® today announced the availability of the first enterprise Linux image for SAP HANA Large Instances on Microsoft Azure. The SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications image on Azure provides an improved customer experience by offering consistent build and management capabilities on Azure. SUSE is working with Microsoft and the community to deliver enterprise-grade Linux and other solutions that enable customers to create, deploy and manage workloads anywhere with exceptional service, value and flexibility.

SAP HANA Large Instances on Azure are purpose-built hardware configurations for SAP HANA workloads that require memory sizes larger than 0.5 TB. SUSE is collaborating with Microsoft to support mission- critical workloads for SAP HANA environments up to 60TB in size with the stability and reliability of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications.
